Night Tour of Barcelona Sites

One Thursday night, I went on a night tour of Barcelona that was sponsored by the school. It was a guided tour that included the La Sagrada Familia (cathedral ) and a modern building called the Torre Agbar. The tour was done in mostly Spanish so I got about 60% of it, but he would mention key points in English. From what I remember, the La Sagrada Familia was designed by Barcelonian architect Antoni Gaudi. He apparently spent 40 years on it and knew it would take several generations to complete it. So it is still under construction and seems to be the brunt of many jokes because of it.

The Torre Agbar is a very modern building housing businesses, including the water company. The colors represent the colors of the local soccer team. Cool looking building that apparently puts on a light show for New Year´s each year.

Please note, this was one of the first times I used my new digital camera at night, so hadn´t quite figured out the best settings at that point. So, please, ignore the sloppy photography job... :o) And you´re probably thinking why don´t I try editing the photos, lightening them up a bit. Great idea! I tried. It´s all in Spanish and I can´t figure it out. So, if you really want to know what this building looks like you´ll have to fly over to Barcelona! :o)
