MONTJUIC

On Saturday, March 8th, my first major outting was to Montjuic which is a hillside that gives a great view of the city of Barcelona. It was once a castle and fort, but later used by Franco for executions and prisoners. But, in 1992, they built beautiful stadiums, pools, and gardens for the 1996 Olympics. Now the stadium is used for sporting events and concerts. On Friday and Saturday nights there is apparently a fountain show. I imagine, much like the fountain shows at the Bellagio. I haven´t had a chance to check it out yet, but plan to....
